About Us
At the bottom of a steep sided valley beside the River Coln in the pretty hamlet of Fossebridge, you will find the Inn at Fossebridge, an enchanting early 17th century former Coaching Inn. Today, it is a charming Georgian Cotswold retreat; offering 7 individual en suite bedrooms, a traditional Inn with roaring log fires & flagstone floors, serving local ales and excellent food, all set in a stunning riverside garden. A splendid country pub, superbly cosy in winter but also with beautiful gardens to enjoy during the spring and summer months.
This attractive free house has a rich history as a former coaching Inn. It is now a quintessential Cotswold dining pub with comfortable accommodation. The Inn’s original features of exposed beams, stone walls, open log fires and polished flagstone floors still remain today. Our traditional bar and restaurant is located in the oldest part of the building and is a wonderful retreat to enjoy local ales and good food combined. The menu offers dishes ranging from light lunches and Fossebridge Classics to hearty main courses.
The Inn at Fossebridge is situated in a dip on the A429 (Fosse Way), 6 miles north of Cirencester at Fossebridge, between the Gloucestershire towns of Cirencester and Northleach. The Inn is within an hour’s drive from Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bristol & Bath, whilst Cheltenham, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold & The Slaughters are a short distance away. You will also find many pretty hamlets and villages on the doorstep which seem to look today as they did a few centuries ago.
The Cotswolds is one of the most quintessentially English, unspoiled regions in the country, renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty, with rolling hills, stone walls, pretty hamlets and river valleys.
The Inn at Fossebridge is the perfect haven for a Cotswold break, lazy lunch, romantic dinner or a local ale or two. We are ideally located for exploring the glorious Cotswolds by car or on foot!
